Business Roadblocks for Creative Entrepreneurs | EP 30
If you’re navigating business roadblocks for creative entrepreneurs, you’re not alone. Growth is exciting—but it’s also uncomfortable. In this episode, I’m sharing a behind-the-scenes look at my biggest roadblocks as I transition from full-time photography into coaching and community-building.
I’ve been a photographer for six years. I genuinely love serving my clients and creating meaningful experiences through my work. Photography has shaped my identity and built the foundation of my business. But as my children grow older, my priorities are shifting. I need more Saturdays at home. I need flexibility. And I need a business model that supports both my ambition and my family.
That realization brought me face-to-face with one of the biggest business roadblocks for creative entrepreneurs: letting go of what’s working in order to build what’s next.
Moving from photographer to coach isn’t just a service change—it’s an identity shift. For years, I’ve been known for my photography. Stepping into coaching means redefining how I show up, how I market, and how I serve. It requires confidence before the results are visible.
I’m not quitting photography overnight. Instead, I’m building a bridge. That means gradually leaning into coaching, helping women create thriving communities around their brands, and documenting the lessons I’m learning in real time. Sustainable pivots happen strategically—not impulsively.
Will my audience understand the transition? Will they stay? Growth often requires trusting that the right people will evolve with you.
Photography brought predictable income tied to weekends. Coaching requires new systems—content, funnels, nurturing, and scalable offers. I’m studying business education from sources like HubSpot and Entrepreneur to refine my strategy and create long-term sustainability.
To make space for growth, I’ve had to audit my time, simplify workflows, and restructure priorities. Boundaries are no longer optional—they’re foundational.
